One of the locations for a grainery turned on with an error message. The client called ENS to fix the screen and we walked them through on creating a USB flash drive repair key. Offline sign coded green. Did a manual reboot for 10 sec. and screen is still showing the same error message.
Turn off media player, plug in the USB repair stick and a USB keyboard. Turn on media player and immediately click on F12 key. Continuously press F12 key until it shows the blue screen (BIOS setup) on the monitor. On the blue screen, choose Flash with USB using the USB keyboard to navigate and hit enter.
I asked Dallas to please leave everything plugged in and I will remotely trigger install to HD. Turned on screenshots and waited until screenshots shows me install to HD complete, please reboot device and unplug USB. Called Dallas and he confirmed that this message is visible from his side too. So we turned the media player off, detached the USB and the USB keyboard from the media player. Turn the unit back on and I adviced that I will call them back.
As soon as I see that their sign is online after reboot, check the screenshots remotely again and it was displaying control panel (green screen). Transferred to another layout for a minute then back to the original. Restarted X, rebooted browser and cleared cache remotely. From screenshots, the monitor is already displaying correctly. Called Dallas again to finally confirm if the screen is displaying correctly and it is.
